The online news channel has been running almost continuously ever since we heard about the bomb blasts in Hyderabad, killing 44 people and injuring many more. This is the first time that I following a piece of news being covered so extensively by a news channel, and the reactions of the police & the state and central politicians were disgusting as usual.
There were some very clear cut questions posed to the CM in the press conference and instead of answering them, he dodged them saying he cannot divulge what the intelligence does to the press. Well, you neither tell the press what's going on nor act on it and try to prevent such gory events. So what's the deal with having intelligence agencies?
Police constables stroll at the sites, without a face mask or gloves, and oblivious to the fact that there could be a bomb no.2 ready to go off during 'investigation'. These normal day-to-day city policemen are neither trained nor have an idea of the seriousness of the situation!
Considering that Lumbini park is an entertainment center bang opposite the building where the administrative heads of the state operate from, it is a shame that it is not manned by cameras and the activities not recorded on a daily basis!
Coming back to the media, it can get as insensitive and stupid as it can ever get. Who the hell wants to know how Salman Khan is faring in jailing and what he had for breakfast?
And then there is the Brahmani-Lokesh wedding, which is being covered because of the star status of the parents. But who the hell wants to know who was invited and who wasn't and why?
Administrative and intelligence personnel should understand that three major bomb blasts in three months is a serious failure to stop infiltrators into the country and into the state, and a serious failure of the intelligence agencies to break into the communications and alert concerned officials of the threat at the right time!

Local media flashing this news over and over again, panic, tension and preasure are exactly what 'they' want.
Foreign govts and media condemning this attack is a strategic success for India while local tension/publicity is a success for the curlpits.
In mu openion, media should focus on getting results rather than 'creating' news.
Very true. I was irritated by the repeated show of this news. But, one positive thing was that the politicians will come under tremendous pressure for all the hype generated out of such incidents and we can hope that they'll be on their toes from now on!
About Salman Khan...star value works especially in India. Why do you think people was so bothered about the chinkara case and the 93 bomb blasts? Cos it involved 2 super heroes. And the law is pressurised or rather enjoy punishing them to show how faithful they are to the people.shame!
